Your Role as a Patient Care Coordinator
As a key member of our Patient Care Team, you’ll be the compassionate voice and helping hand for our patients:
- Build relationships with patients through monthly check-ins
- Coordinate with doctors for new prescriptions, refills, or prior authorizations
- Update patient records: medications, insurance, contact details
- Work with pharmacy and finance teams to resolve delivery or payment issues
- Help patients navigate insurance changes
- Stay current with required training
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (speaking fluently)
- 1+ year of Customer Service experience
- Healthcare or pharmacy experience is a plus
- Professional phone etiquette & communication skills
- Strong data entry and multitasking skills
- NY State Pharmacy Technician license is preferred, but not required
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping people
